Stockfish Refutes Fischer

Fischer vs. Petrosian: On the 22nd move, Fischer trades his brilliant knight for a rather ugly bishop. The kind of move an amateur would make, except here it is the great chess genius carrying it out. The crowd loves it, the commentators sing its praises. He found the exception to the rule! And yet, when we revisit this trade in the light of modern engines, we discover that it was in fact a mistake. Phew! Our sanity and our understanding of chess remain intact. Once again, common sense prevails: the anti-positional move really was bad; it is only the art of analysis that showed us why.
